Adaptive visible and short-wave infrared camouflage using a dynamically tunable metasurface

چکیده
In this Letter, a dynamically tunable metasurface, which is based on antimony trisulfide, introduced. structure, first metal-insulator-metal (MIM) nanocavity optimized in way that, upon phase change, the visible response switches from transmissive colored window into reflective mirror. Later, an indium tin oxide nanoantenna integrated MIM cavity to provide antireflection short-wave infrared (SWIR) range for SWIR mode thermal camouflage. The host acts as thermally substrate tune of design.

An absorptive metasurface based on film-coupled colloidal silver nanocubes is demonstrated. The metasurfaces are fabricated using simple dip-coating methods and can be deposited over large areas and on arbitrarily shaped objects. The surfaces show nearly complete absorption, good off-angle performance, and the resonance can be tuned from the visible to the near-infrared.
